Will Smith went back to his hometown Wednesday to celebrate getting a street named "Will Smith Way" in Philadelphia.
Will Smith was at his old high school (Overbrook High School) where the city paid tribute to the Oscar and Grammy winner Wednesday by renaming the 2000 block of North 59th Street "Will Smith Way."
Will Smith said:
"When things get hard, you have to be willing to suffer to change the circumstances," he said. "Nobody gets an easy ride. And that was one of the things these streets of Philadelphia taught me, that there is nothing wrong with a hard day's work. Philly, I love you," he said. "I am yours, you are mine."
