DENVER — An American Airlines plane caught fire at Denver airport after landing, leading to an evacuation of passengers. Twelve on board were taken to the hospital.
The flight, AA1006, was scheduled from Colorado Springs to Dallas-Fort Worth. The plane left the Colorado Springs airport at 4:37 p.m. before being diverted to Denver.
American Airlines spokesperson said Boeing 737-800, had "experienced an engine-related issue."
